Jet OUT Employee Spotlight: Luke Peter

This Employee Spotlight falls on Luke Peter; one of Jet OUT’s first pilots. He has flown the skies over Wisconsin for many years and trained Jet OUT's Director of Operations Kodye Shier as his flight instructor!

Luke graduated from UW Oshkosh with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and, after college, manned the cockpit for an aerial survey outfit that mapping the terrain in Iowa. He also traveled the country as a surveyor for different contractors and the flights Luke made to different states over thousands of miles prepared him for his eventual career flying CJ4s and TBMs for Jet OUT across the US!

Luke loves that his job takes him to so many different places. On any given day flying for Jet OUT he could be heading to Colorado and seeing the mountains or flying down to Florida over the bright blue waters of the Gulf Coast.

The challenges of flying into a new airfield, the excitement of showing charter fliers what Jet OUT is all about, and the satisfaction of getting to know Jet OUT co-owners personally make Luke eager to strap into the cockpit and get down to business.

When Luke isn’t flying for Jet OUT, he enjoys spending time outdoors to fish, mountain bike, and hike. He also enjoys traveling with his fiancée around the US and internationally. If Luke can find a good deal on two tickets to France, best believe they’ll be on the next flight into CDG. If he could hop a flight today and drop himself anywhere Jet OUT flies, he’d head to Key West to do some deep sea fishing while escaping the long Wisconsin winter for a few days.

Pilots like Luke help make you more efficient with your time, your money, and your business. Jet OUT flies nonstop to over 5,000 regional airfields, meaning no security lines, no baggage claims, and no messy transfers between aircraft.

Thanks to Luke for the interview; we hope you get to meet him on your next Jet OUT flight!
