PGA TOUR winner Joel Dahman cannot control everything in his profession, but he can control his commute. As Jet OUT’s newest brand ambassador, he flies with us from his home airport in Scottsdale, protecting the one thing every Tour player needs more of: time.
Professional golf gives a player very little to control. Not the wind, not the draw, not the bounce off the lip. Travel is one of the few things he can.
Joel Dahmen is a PGA TOUR winner, a husband, and father of two. Since turning pro in 2010, he’s also someone who has spent plenty of time traveling for the game. If you’ve watched Full Swing on Netflix, you probably know him as the player in the bucket hat, having more fun than anyone else in the field. Now, he’s also a Jet OUT brand ambassador.
Joel flies in the Citation CJ4 Gen2 with us from his home airport, Scottsdale (SDL). We asked him to tell you what that means for his time on the road.
Joel grew up in Clarkston, Washington, a small town on the Idaho line. He won two state high school titles there and played a year at the University of Washington before turning pro.
Eleven months later, he was diagnosed with cancer. He beat it and returned to competition that same season. Then came the years most fans never see: competing on the Canadian Tour, where he finished 2014 as Player of the Year. From there, he moved to the Korn Ferry Tour, then the PGA TOUR. In 2021, he won his first Tour title in Punta Cana.
Through it all, his motto hasn’t changed: “Have a lot of fun all the time.” It’s in his official PGA TOUR bio, and if you’ve seen him at the 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale, you know he means it.
Today Joel lives in Scottsdale with his wife, Lona, and their two young sons. A Tour season pulls him away from them most weeks of the year. Every hour he spends in a terminal, a security line, or a connection is an hour he doesn’t get back.
With Jet OUT, Joel flies from our Scottsdale base at SDL, minutes from his front door. He leaves when his week needs him to leave, lands at the airport closest to the course, and comes home the same way.
For a Tour player, travel isn’t downtime. It’s part of preparation. How he arrives on Monday shapes how he feels on the first tee Thursday.
We can’t hand Joel a better lie or a friendlier bounce. We can give him back time and energy, and let him spend both where they count.
Most people who fly with us don’t play on Sundays for a living. They run companies, close deals, coach their kids’ teams, and try to be home for dinner more nights than not. The math is the same as Joel’s. Every hour you don’t spend in an airport is an hour you get to spend on what matters.
Joel’s season runs on the same aircraft and crews that are ready for you, from our regional bases in Milwaukee, Miami, Scottsdale, and Fort Worth. Here are three ways to start:
Co-Lease. Commit to a set number of days aboard the CJ4 Gen2, without an ownership stake. Talk Co-Lease with us.
Co-Ownership. Own a share of a Citation CJ4 Gen2. We provide the pilots, operate the aircraft, and keep it ready to fly. Talk Co-Ownership with us.
Charter. Book the CJ4 Gen2 one trip at a time. Tell us where and when, and we’ll build the trip around you. Request a quote.
Not sure which one fits? That’s the conversation our team has every day. Tell us how often you fly, where you go, and who comes with you. We’ll show you what each option looks like for the way you actually travel.
Joel found the way he wants to fly. Let’s find yours. See you on the ramp. Bucket hat optional.
